Dr Manoov R is a Senior Assistant Professor at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), specializing in the Department of Internet of Things. His academic and professional background includes extensive experience in computer science and related technologies. His expertise includes machine learning, bioinformatics, computational data mining, semantic web analysis, data integration and knowledge discovery, information extraction, and classification. Dr Manoov is also actively involved in teaching and professional work related to Git, continuous development and integration, Docker, and container-based development. At VIT, he is responsible for Moodle administration, focusing on user authentication and course enrollment. He maintains a webpage titled “Teaching with Moodle” to assist faculty in utilizing Moodle for blended learning. His teaching approach integrates practical applications with theoretical concepts, providing students with hands-on experience in the latest technologies, and he is known for creating academic standards and evaluating new course materials.
