Introduced MOODLE (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) and its features.
Course Design:
- Discussed strategies for designing courses that considered formative and summative assessments.
- Showcased how to use Moodle activities and resources for various learning objectives.
Formative Assessment Strategies:
- Provided examples of formative assessments such as in-class discussions, quizzes, and reflection assignments.
- Demonstrated how Moodle tools like Database and Assignment can be used for formative assessments.
Enhancing Student Engagement:
- Explored gamification techniques to motivate learners. - Used Moodle’s XP plugin and Branching Scenarios from H5P as examples.
Teaching Languages with Moodle:
- Discussed tools to address various language skills like listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
- Showcased examples using Forums, Audio submissions, and Assignment plugins. Faculty Resources and Support:
- Highlighted Moodle community forums and faculty-only resource pages for sharing best practices.
- Provided steps for creating a Moodle course page and enrolling students
(specific to VIT Vellore’s Moodle infrastructure).

Presented an invited talk at an FDP organised for technology integration for English course activities for faculty members of English department of VIT University using Moodle LMS.
